Yarn kit for the Celeste Sweater Junior by PetiteKnit.

This beautiful Norwegian sweater is knitted from top to bottom with a round yoke. It has a detailed pattern and is therefore a great introduction to Norwegian knitting!

Please note that when knitting with a pattern (Fair Isle) you often need to use a needle that is 0.5 - 1 mm thicker than when knitting in one color. Therefore, make a single-color and multi-color swatch before you start knitting.

size guide

The Celeste Sweater Junior should have a positive ease of approximately 15-19 cm in relation to the chest circumference. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-12) 12-14 years correspond to a chest circumference of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (78) 82 cm. The dimensions of the finished sweater can be found on the front page (note that these dimensions only apply if the gauge is adhered to). If your child has a chest circumference of 56 cm, you should choose size 3-4 years. A sweater in size 3-4 years has a chest circumference of 73 cm and in this case would have a positive ease of 17 cm. If the measured chest circumference differs from the age, you should adjust the length to suit the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is smaller/larger than average.
