Description
Rauma Garn Vandre (which means “hike” in German) is made from 100% Norwegian wool, 50% of which comes from Spælsau. The long fibers of the spelled sheep make the yarn more durable. Vandre yarn is therefore particularly suitable for socks, hiking clothing and work clothing.
Garments knitted from Vandre should be machine washed before use. This allows the fibers to “settle,” increasing abrasion resistance and making the garment more dirt-repellent. In addition, the garment becomes softer and fluffier!
Wash the clothes at 40°C in a program that lasts no longer than 1 hour. Shape the clothes while they are still wet and let them dry flat.
Vandre is made at Rauma Garn in beautiful Romsdalen. Here they card, spin, twist, wash, dye and knot the yarn made from 100% Norwegian wool.
Norwegian wool is particularly characterized by good durability, elasticity and resistance. Spun as a carded yarn, wool offers the ideal balance between functionality and comfort. The result is light, airy and easy-to-wear garments that last a long time.
